EU Customs Tariff Reform – FAQ

New EU Customs Rule – We Cover the New Duty, You Save!

⚡ From 1 July 2026, the European Union introduces a new customs regulation for all e-commerce shipments. But don't worry—Doreenbeads is here to ensure your shopping experience remains seamless and affordable.
Quick Summary: We’ve Got You Covered!

While the EU now requires a €3 flat customs duty per distinct HS code for shipments under €150, Doreenbeads will cover this new duty for you!

Enjoy €0 Customs Duty on all available shipping methods:

✓ FedEx-IE / FedEx-IP

✓ CNE Economic Express

✓ Registered Airmail

✓ Air Express

Q1: What is changing from 1 July 2026?

A: The EU has abolished the previous customs duty exemption for goods under €150. Under the new transitional scheme (valid until 2028), a flat customs duty of €3 is charged for each unique 6-digit HS tariff code within a B2C parcel valued below €150.

Q2: Will I have to pay this €3 flat customs duty?

A: NO. Although the rule applies to all imports into the EU, Doreenbeads has decided to bear this cost on behalf of our customers. When you checkout, you don't need to worry about this additional €3 per HS code—we handle it internally to keep your costs low.

Q3: How does the €3 duty work (and how much do I save)?

A: The duty is calculated based on the number of different product categories (HS codes) in your parcel.

•Example: If you buy plastic beads (HS Code A) and metal pendants (HS Code B), the standard EU duty would be €6 (€3 x 2).

•With Doreenbeads: You pay €0 for this duty. We cover the entire amount regardless of how many categories you purchase!

Q4: Does this apply to all shipping methods?

A: This "Duty Covered" policy applies to FedEx (IE/IP), CNE Economic Express, Registered Airmail, and Air Express.

Please note that UPS and DHL are currently excluded from this benefit. For UPS and DHL shipments, the €3 flat customs duty remains the responsibility of the recipient. We highly recommend choosing FedEx or our other covered methods to enjoy the €0 duty advantage!

Q5: What happens to orders valued at €150 and above?

A: Orders with a total value of €150 or more are not covered by the transitional €3 flat-rate rule. These shipments will be cleared under standard EU customs regulations, where duties are calculated based on the specific ad-valorem rates for each HS code.

Q6: Where can I find official detailed information?

A: For authoritative regulatory updates:

  1. Official EU customs portal: europa.eu
  2. Professional local tax or customs compliance advisors
Q7: Are there any shipments from local EU warehouses?

A: No. Please note that our Overseas Warehouse services (FR/DE) have been suspended. All orders are now shipped directly from our central warehouse to ensure the widest selection of products and the best quality control. Our "Duty Covered" policy applies to all these direct shipments!

Disclaimer:
This policy covers the €3 transitional customs duty as per EU Regulation (EU) 2026/382. Any other local taxes, inspection fees, or VAT remain the responsibility of the importer unless otherwise specified by your shipping method.
